The Minotaur was a Monster with the head of a bull on the body of a man. A long time ago the Minotaur was once free and roamed Crete eating its citizens. Because of this King Minos had a giant maze known as the Labyrinth built to trap the Minotaur.
The Minotaur was born when Minos wanted an offering to give to Zeus. He asked Poseidon to created a white bull for him to give to Zeus. But Minos did not want to give up the amazing bull, so he offered up one of his ordinary bulls instead. Poseidon was furious and sent the white bull crazy. That white bull then gave birth to the Minotaur who was also crazy. |
